Alice Corbett
Catalina State Park was the destination for the most recent Vagabonds RV Club Rally. Wagonmasters Alice and John Corbett, assisted by Sharon and Gene Bond, arranged a four-day getaway to an oasis only 57 miles from the Ranch. Diane Defore, Ron Brothers, Mary and Bob Burton, Teresa Jo and Clark Fletcher, Gloria and Bryan Younge, and Marita and Gary Hickman participated in various events planned for the week.
On Sunday evening, four couples attended a country music dinner show at the Gaslight Music Hall. On Monday, six of the couples made the drive up beautiful Mount Lemmon and enjoyed lunch at the Iron Door restaurant. Monday evening, the group was treated to the largest pizzas most had ever seen. On Tuesday, there was an optional tour of Biosphere 2 followed by lunch at SaddleBrooke Ranch. Wednesday morning started with a short hike in the park followed by a very informative presentation by the park ranger who explained the history of the park and brought meaning to the things seen on the hike. The final event of the rally was an evening around a fire table with live music and a stunning view of the sun setting over the mountains.
Gorgeous views and glorious weather made for a wonderful four-day rally. If you are interested in joining the Vagabonds, contact club president David Riker at [email protected].
