The Holiday Spirit Comes to Robson Ranch

Marsha Oliver

As promised, the Robson Ranch Singers brought the Holiday Spirit to the desert with our Holiday Concerts Dec. 6 and 7! Nearly 500 Robson Ranch residents and members of our community were inspired by songs of the season as 50 singers and musicians performed the music we’d been rehearsing since September. The theme was “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and featured a diverse collection, including this all-time favorite plus “Dreidel Song,” Peter, Paul & Mary’s “A Soulin’,” and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”

This was the first concert created by our new director, Laurie Laramie, and associate director, Beth Forbes. They shared the duties of planning, conducting rehearsals, and making it all come together. New this year were props—a full-sized cactus (decorated in lights with the traditional Robson Ranch Santa’s hat on top) plus a cheery fireplace. Our sincere thanks to Robson resident, Nils Johnson, for creating these for us! In addition, our thanks to another Robson resident, Dennis Bierman, who ran the sound system. Our photographer was Marv Enerson.

All of us associated with the concerts hope you enjoyed them and thank you for the amazing support we receive from you. Please mark your calendar for our Spring Concerts, scheduled for March 21 and 22, 2023. Until then, Happy New Year from the Robson Ranch Singers!
