The Civil Air Patrol has volunteer opportunities available for Senior Members (18+ years old) for their three primary missions—Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs. This May, the Eloy Squadron will be expanding its emergency services program and has openings for volunteers in the following areas: Aircrew (Pilot, Observer, Scanner, Photographer), Ground Search Teams, Radio Operation, Disaster Relief, and supporting functions such as logistics.
Training is provided by the Civil Air Patrol locally, regionally, and nationally. Always prepared, both in the air and on the ground, members of the Civil Air Patrol perform emergency services for state and local agencies as well as the federal government as the civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and for states/local communities as a nonprofit organization. Ever vigilant, these true patriots make a difference in their communities, not only to assist in times of disaster but also to search for the lost and protect the homeland.
Local meetings will be held the first Tuesday of each month from 18:30-20:30 at the Squadron Campus in Eloy (304 W Alsdorf Rd) beginning May 4. Anyone interested in volunteering can find more info at their website at www.eloycap.org or at www.gocivilairpatrol.com.
