Loving God, Loving Everyone, Everywhere

Mary Beth Smith

Wow, when I first met Ron Hunt three years ago and he shared his vision for a church called Friendship Center I was like, “woah, I have to think about this.” Friendship Center sounded a little hokey to me. It sounded too much like a storefront church that pops up one day and is gone the next.

But then, I got to know Ron, Lisa, and the founding members of the church and I realized this was a real opportunity to learn and grow in God’s love, and I needed that! I was missing so much of the heart of my spirituality.

I was raised a Catholic and knew all the rules, beatitudes, and 10 commandments, but there was so much I didn’t know. I never really read or studied the Bible and the incredible lessons it teaches. I had no idea the treasures I was missing.

Since joining Friendship Center two years ago, I have found a greater understanding of the basis of my belief and appreciate those who help me develop this deeper understanding. Friendship Center is not just a clever name, it’s a group of people dedicated to learning more about Christ, and expanding their knowledge and love into the community and the world. The weekly services are meaningful, well planned and interwoven with beautiful music we can all share. The best part is that it is open to everyone, you included!

Friendship Center has become a most important part of my life. You are welcome to join me! If you’d like to chat, just give me a call or send me, Mary Beth Smith, an email at [email protected] or call me at 520-836-1180.
