On January 31 the Putting League had its second awards dinner. Over 80 people attended the event; the awards given were as follows: putter of the year for gross scores, Nick Pike; putter of the year for net scores, Sam Achman; most holes in one, Larry Mansfield. Each winner received a trophy, a $25 gift card for the pro shop and a bottle of wine.
Gift cards ($25 pro shop) were also distributed to recognize the most improved putter (Betty Kumbera) and best attendance (Ben Blisset and Terry Kumbera).
Our raffle winners Barb Mazurek and Sam Achman each won $80 in the 50/25/25 Raffle. We also gave out numerous prizes. Congratulations to all of the winners.
Thanks to the putting committee for their hard work all season setting up the bi-weekly events, managing scoring, collecting money, writing articles, planning the annual gala and awards. The committee members are Mary and Mike Pryor, Nick Pike, Stan Lukasek, Regina and Jim Bellach, Gloria Lamere and Mona Rod. And special thanks to our club pro, Jay Wilson, for his help and support to make the Putting League a successful and fun time!
