Material Girls Buzzing with Creativity

Bewitching stitching! Hocus Pocus wall hangings by the embroidery group

Susie Klopp

It’s October already and the start of fall. As we turn the corner from summer, we all realize that this is a busy time of the year. Winter residents start returning, with any luck the weather starts to cool down, and the holidays are just around the corner! I don’t know about you, but I feel more productive when the weather isn’t 110 degrees and raining, or the wind isn’t blowing my plants into my neighbor’s yard.

The Material Girls stayed busy during the summer, and with the arrival of fall, it’s time for our club meetings to start again. It’s time to plan for the upcoming year and events.

October is for ghosts and goblins, and our embroidery group created fun Hocus Pocus wall hangings.

We have the Robson Craft Fair in November, and that is when we also will be raffling off this year’s quilt.

Whether you are making things for grandchildren or to show off during the golf cart parade, the creativity never stops for the Material Girls!

If you are new to the Robson family and are looking for a creative outlet that involves material and a needle (machine or hand), see us at the Creative Arts Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. We would love to show you around.
