Holy Advent and Christmas Worship 2023

Pastor Ron Hunt

Join us at Friendship Center as we usher in the Advent season and celebrate Jesus’ birth on Christmas Eve! In celebration of our 5th year at Robson Ranch, our church offers uplifting worship experiences this month by featuring the many musical gifts of residents here in our community.

* Dec. 10—The Robson Ranch Singers, led by Laurie Laramie and Beth Forbes, will attend our worship service and perform two beautiful songs: “Siyahamba,” a Zulu folk song, and “In the Bleak Midwinter,” an arrangement of the traditional carol by James Taylor.

* Dec. 17—A very special service set to music of Christmas featuring some of Friendship Center’s most talented musicians. Sing along to some of your favorite Christmas carols—it’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.

* Dec. 24—Christmas Eve worship is at 4 p.m. in the Laredo/Cheyenne Rooms. Connie Koza, on guitar, Marilyn Konruff, on dulcimer, and Lisa Hunt, on piano, will perform instrumental duets and solos. Our service of “Carols and Candlelight” with brief scriptural meditations will provide you with an old-fashioned Christmas Eve experience, as we welcome the Christ Child on the eve of His birth.

* Dec. 31—In anticipation of the New Year and the arrival of the Magi to Jesus’ birthplace, we continue to reflect on biblical passages and sing familiar carols of the season. Rich Marks will accompany us with his musical gifts and Pete Marks will solo “Out of the East.”

Friendship Center is an interdenominational Christian church at Robson Ranch, welcoming all who seek a new church home and a renewed relationship with God and fellow Christians. We are all “Friends of God,” and we hope you will join us in this casual and inviting environment. Our Sunday services are at 9 a.m. in the Laredo/Cheyenne Rooms in the Ranch House.
