First Ever Pajama Party at Robson Ranch—A Night of Revelry!

Lisa Hunt

On Jan. 10, Robson Ranch witnessed a unique event: 200 women showed up to the Hermosa Ballroom in their pajamas, night gowns, bathrobes, and slippers! Some adorned their hair with pink foamy curlers, some slathered cold cream on their faces, and some carried stuffed animals with them. What were they doing, you ask? What would possess mature, composed, and otherwise mentally stable women to venture out in public wearing such outfits as to create a spectacle of themselves, you ask?

It was the first ever Pajama Party, sponsored by the Girls Next Door Band (Connie Drew, Connie Koza, Amy Petersen, and Lisa Hunt) and the Robson Ranch HOAaffectionately called Girls’ Night Out or Women Gone Wild, whichever you prefer to call it! The evening was a cathartic release of our pent up, sisterhood energy!

Women strutted their stuff on stage for a wacky style show. They formed a conga line to “The Locomotion” around the ballroom tables, down the hall, and across the stage. Ladies struck silly poses at the photo booth and adorned themselves with bird-shaped glasses, boas, and other paraphernalia.

Each table of 10 women got up before three microphones and belted out songs that had been randomly assigned to their tables, with the GND band as their accompaniment. They were able to live out their girlhood fantasies of being a rock or country star, singing to their hearts’ content with the help of their fellow sisters around their table. For most of the night, the dance floor was packed with dancing, twisting, and laughing women. Such a sight to see!

Best of all, they bid on raffle prizes and silent auction items, ultimately raising over $3,500 for the Hope Women’s Center in Coolidge. In addition, three packed cars of clothing, shoes, accessories, and personal products were donated and hauled away to the Center, much to the delight of the Center staff the following Tuesday.

It was agreed that this hilarious event is worth repeating, so we are scheduling our next Pajama Party for Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. Be sure to mark your calendars for another night of crazy fun with new surprises! Thank you to all in attendance for making this such a successful evening!
