Returning once again for a two-day session of watercolor tips and techniques were Jean Forsyth and her assistant, Melanie Douglas. Sponsored by the Fine Arts Guild, nine members of the guild chose from a variety of photographs Jean brought for them to paint. After some practice exercises, Jean let the participants paint their chosen photograph. She aided them with any
problems they had or techniques they wished to employ in their painting. Not everyone was able to complete their painting, while others were able to complete two paintings.
The paintings ranged from flowers, glass, musical instruments, junkyards of old trucks, and landscapes. The results of the class were some wonderful pictures and much camaraderie. The class hopes to see Jean next year for a watercolor pouring/masking class and a possible pastels class.
