Several Robson Communities were represented at the 2022 Arizona Golf Association (AGA) Club Team Championship Qualifier on Nov. 6, 2022, hosted by The Views Golf Club in Oro Valley. The event was a two-person team, which could be made up of two men, two women, or a man/woman team. Both team members had to belong to the same club/league. The format was a two-person scramble. At this site there were 46 teams competing for 13 spots to advance to the championship.
There were three divisions of the tournament:
* The Championship Flight—scored at gross level only
* Gross/Net Level
* Super Seniors Division—Gross/Net Level (both players had to be older than 70)
Robson Communities that participated in the event included: Robson Ranch Men/Ladies Golf Associations; SaddleBrooke, Mountain View Preserve Men’s Golf Association; and Quail Creek Men’s Golf Association.
Don Evans and Diane Penner from Robson Ranch represented their Men/Ladies Golf Associations. They were in the third flight, which was a gross/net competition. In their flight, three teams qualified to advance to the championship, which was held on Dec. 13, 2022, at Corte Bella—1 Gross and 2 Net. Don and Diane finished in 4th place, shooting a 1 under par 71 missing the cut by one stroke.
