Last Saturday, December 5, Casa Grande community members gathered for the grand opening of the new Food Town IGA at the Robson Ranch Shopping Commercial Center. Among those in attendance were Eloy City Council Members, Andrew Rodriguez, JoAnne Galindo and Vice-Mayor Michal Powell. T.J. Shope, representative from District 8, was also in attendance.
The store is located off of Robson Boulevard and Jimmie Kerr, spans a total of 4,800 square feet and offers a variety of different items such as:
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Fresh meat, poultry and seafood
Milk, eggs and other dairy products
Baked goods including bread, cookies,
etc.
Frozen foods and ice cream
Beer/wine and liquor
Proud owners of the store, Rick Hagen and Bette Taylor, were excited to cut the red ribbon and open their doors. Rick and Bette passed out raffle tickets and had “blue light” specials and giveaways every half hour. A Robson Ranch homeowner, Richard Shine, showed off his talent and promoted the event by spinning at the DJ table from noon to 2:00 p.m. It was a hit among community members who came out to support the grand opening of the new Food Town IGA!
