General Manager’s Report

This past fall, I celebrated my 11th anniversary working in the homeowners association industry. You may not know this but I started my career out by serving as the Treasurer of my own HOA Board of Directors. I enjoyed it so much that after a few years, I turned in my resignation and took on a position with an HOA management company in Phoenix. Throughout the past 11 years, I have worked closely with many board members and have met some wonderful homeowners along the way.

While there is no “school” for my chosen career, there is the opportunity for me to obtain continuing education with the broad selection of courses offered through my membership with Community Association Institute “CAI.”. Over the past few months, I have taken time out of my busy schedule to attend (2) seminars in order to earn the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation. This designation is awarded for advanced training in two additional subjects pertaining to homeowners association. My recent studies focused on Risk Management (insurance) and Facilities Management (the upkeep of our amenities and property). I walked away from these seminars (yes, there is a test!) with the tools and knowledge for me to have a more detailed eye into running the business of the Association.

I also have two additional designations which I earned early on in my career. The first designation stands for Certified Arizona Association Manager (CAAM) which I have held since 2011. This program signifies that I have the training required by the Arizona Association of Community Managers organization to address community association management issues specific to our climate and laws in Arizona. The second designation, which I have held since 2013, is the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). This is the only national certification program designed exclusively for managers of homeowner, condominium associations and cooperatives.

Robson Inc. continues to offer support to me as your General Manager. They do so by providing opportunities for continuing education which in return benefits homeowners as I oversee the management of Robson Ranch which includes the many wonderful amenities along with managing the day to day operations of the community. I am grateful for the opportunity to manage Robson Ranch and for the opportunity to work with a great group of homeowners such as you.
