Wonderful Works

Pastor Chet Kwiat

Many people struggle today with self-doubt, self-worth, and insecurity because of their looks, abilities, or their limitations. It is no wonder with all the comparisons we get these days. What with Instagram, TikTok, Fakebook (I mean Facebook) always showing how happy and beautiful others are and how good their lives are. We often forget that so many of the photos shown on these platforms are filtered and photoshopped, and only show the best side or moments. We begin to look down on ourselves and our “boring” ho-hum lives. It is no wonder people struggle. I suspect the Psalmist may have had days of doubt, so he needed to remind himself that God made him especially unique. Psalm 139:14 NLT, Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

Try to remember that you are unique, there is no one exactly like you, and you were made just the way God wanted you. Don’t mess it up by trying to be something you are not, or something our culture is trying to press you into being.

I invite you to come and join us Saturdays at 4 p.m. in the Cheyenne/Laredo room for a time of worship and an uplifting message from the Bible. You will be done in plenty of time to go enjoy a lovely dinner at the Grill.

Blessings from Christian Fellowship and Pastor Chet Kwiat.
