Support Our Troops—AZ (SOT) of Robson Ranch honors those who have honored us through their service and supports those who have sacrificed for us through military service. The organization raises money to support veterans and military organizations and veterans in need.

In March, SOT—AZ made two donations. The first was $6,750 to the Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps (JROTC) cadets from Vista Grande High School in Casa Grande. The funds will be used to send qualified students to Pensacola, Fla., this spring to participate in the National Flight Academy. Students will live aboard the world’s largest simulated aircraft carrier and will be surrounded by advanced technology, flight simulators, and virtual reality games that ignite imagination and encourage learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The cadets have admirably and professionally assisted SOT—AZ as honor guards at its Veterans Week and other veteran-support activities.

The second donation was a check for $10,000 to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Chapter 36, in Coolidge. DAV is dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. They accomplish this by providing free, professional assistance in filing claims for veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service and provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
