Many of you have been awaiting the completion of the new ballroom at Robson Ranch. It looks like it’s going to be a great facility for concerts and shows. And by now you may be aware that Rock Springs Church will also be using the ballroom on Sunday mornings sometime in the new year. Like the new ballroom, Rock Springs Church is also “under construction.” However, our building materials are not concrete and wood, sheet rock or stucco. No, the Bible is pretty clear when it says that it is Jesus who builds His church…with people like you.
When Jesus went about gathering people he never asked them to become religious but simply showed them and taught them a new way of living: a way of living that initiated genuine friendships, that included people from all different walks of life, and that inspired generosity and service to all. At Rock Springs this is what we want to be about. We want to construct a church that truly cares about every person at Robson Ranch. Our vision statement reflects this: We want to be a Church that is helping people become friends, family and followers of Jesus.
So before Rock Springs begins our worship gatherings, as we are laying the foundation we need the building blocks that will make for a great church. You may just be one of those building blocks! So if you want to know how you can fit into what God is building here at Robson Ranch, please email us at [email protected] or give me, Larry Sundin, a call at 520-709-1005. I’d love to get to know you.
Or you can join us at our next “informational meeting” later this month in the Pima and Toltec Rooms, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. At this gathering we will let you know why we’re more about building relationships than a religion. We’ll let you ask us your questions and share with you some ways you might join in the “construction” of Rock Springs Church. Robson Ranch is a great community full of great people. It needs a great Church. Our hope is that He will help us build one together! If you can’t make it on the 18th, our next informational meeting is scheduled for December 14.
