John Sutton
The beginning of our second season for Robson Unplugged takes place on Wednesday, November 2, at the Grill. We have a great line-up of local talent in place for your listening pleasure.
The 5:00 p.m. set will feature our own Howard Van Arsdale accompanying himself on guitar and singing the familiar songs we all enjoy. Howard uses his 12-string guitar to help him get a unique and rich sound. We are lucky to have Howard as a returning performer.
The 6:00 p.m. set will feature the lovely Miss Nancy Elliot, a newcomer to our venue. Nancy has played the cowboy festival circuit all over the Southwest and enjoys a weekly standing gig in Tucson. She is also a songwriter and has recorded solo CDs as well as CDs with other professional musicians. You won’t want to miss her show.
We will conclude our evening with the Frenz Band at 7:00. This group made its debut just a few weeks ago at the Grill. Our own Dale Johnson plays lead guitar along with Jonathan Eddy on bass, Bill Borders on guitar and lead vocals supported by Gary and Lindy Ginn on vocals. Come watch their great arrangements of old favorite American traditional standards.
Our success last year was due to your support. We can’t thank you enough and look forward to another great season. Let me know if you have questions, suggestions or perhaps another undiscovered acoustic talent we can showcase. I can be reached at 520-466-6531 or by email at [email protected]. See you on November 2!
