Robson Ranch was represented by two couples who finished as flight winners in the Arizona Golf Association (AGA) 2023 Mixed Stix Golf Tournament played at Sedona’s Oakcreek Country Club on July 29 and 30. The two-day tournament format consisted of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play with each player receiving 85% of his/her playing handicaps.
Robson Ranch Men’s and Ladies Golf Clubs were represented by John and Candy Burtis and Doug and Diane Penner. The Burtis’ took first place low gross in the 4th flight (Coffee Pot Rock Flight) shooting a team gross score of 82-86=168 and a team net score of 72-76=148. The Penners took second place low net in the 3rd flight (Bell Rock Flight) shooting a team net score of 74-70=140 and a team gross score of 84-81=165.
First flight participants Nathan Epaul and Kristy Hodgkins represented the AZ Under 30 Golf Club. They were the Overall Champions out of 44 teams, shooting a team gross score of 64-60=124 and a team net score of 68-65=133. Congratulations to all the winners and to the AGA for hosting a wonderful two-day event.
