Our March guest speakers were Congressman Juan Ciscomani; T.J. Shope, Arizona Legislative District (LD) 16 Senator; and Teresa Martinez, LD 16 House Whip.
The three guest speakers addressed border security, water issues in Arizona, and the narrow majority in both the State Senate and House, emphasizing the importance of winning this November to maintain control. Ms. Martinez thanked the club members who reviewed the state budget proposals. She also addressed the proposed registration fee on electric vehicles and her proposal of a per KW fee at charging stations—the effect would be like the gas tax, and it would collect revenues from both visitors and residents.
