This year’s Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoebox packing party was a great success. More than 100 volunteers from the Robson community participated in packing a record 3,047 boxes. That means, thanks to your generous gifts of time and funds, thousands of children will receive a shoebox filled with toys, games, hygiene items, and school supplies. The $9 per box shipping was completely covered thanks to the generous gifts from Robson neighbors and Rock Springs Church.

Our boxes this year will be traveling to Indonesia and Central America. Many of the children receiving boxes have never been given a gift in their lives. These boxes are a tangible way to show each child they are loved and not forgotten. It is a beautiful way to share God’s love to those most in need.

On the packing party day, the Hermosa Ballroom was filled to the brim with toys and gifts. Laughter filled the room as each box was lovingly packed. The fun part of the packing party is that each box is unique. Like a snowflake, no two are alike.

Thank you to all who contributed to making this day a wonderful success. Thank you to those who made, sewed, knitted, or crocheted items. Thank you to all who packed individual boxes at home. Thank you to all who folded boxes, stacked boxes, moved toys, set up, cleaned up, packed, gave toys, wrote notes for the boxes, delivered the boxes to Chandler, and gave of your time and money. This would never happen without the support of our amazing Robson neighbors.
