The Robson Ranch (RR) Library and Write On…, a writers’ group here at the Ranch, sponsor the Chapter & Verse series, which is held monthly on the last Friday of the month. These events are structured to allow interested residents to meet their fellow book lovers and authors who also live at the Ranch. Many thanks to those who attended the initial event of the year, held on Jan. 30, which was the first of a two–part program launching their newly published anthology, Chapter & Verse, Volume 1 featuring short stories, poetry, memories, and reflections written by 10 authors who live here at the Ranch.
Five of the authors presented their work on Jan. 30. Participating in January were Betsy Lydle Smith; Donna Vande Kieft; Georgette Littlejohn; Martha Prudence Spillane, and Suzanne Bowman Williams. The second group of authors to present on Feb. 27 are Betty Jean Jones; Dianne Peckosh Van Syoc; Jaine Toth, and Karen Dielmann. As the authors did in January, these writers will read a selection from the book. At the end, they will welcome comments and questions.
This is a great opportunity for RR residents and friends to meet and interact with most of the authors whose work appear in the anthology. Please join us in the Fireside Room at the Ranch House to meet some of your neighborhood authors. Come early at 10 a.m. to mingle with your fellow book lovers and writer friends; presentations will begin at 10:30 a.m.
