Mary Jo Albrecht
The Robson Ranch Dance Club held its 2022 election of officers on Dec. 7, 2021.
Laura Marven is a new member to the dance club board. She will serve as treasurer for the next two years. Laura is a snowbird from Calgary, Alberta (Canada). Laura and her husband Andy moved into their new home at Robson in 2018. They took their first dance lesson with Christa Quackenbush at Robson in November 2021 and loved it! When not dancing, you will find Laura and Andy on the golf course. For over 20 years, Laura worked for a financial institution, and she also spent many years volunteering for a sports organization. Recently Laura worked for an oil and gas company, maintaining and paying thousands of leases every year. Laura’s background as well as her dedication will be a great asset to our board.
We are happy to announce that Tom Albrecht will be returning as the Robson Ranch Dance Club president. Tom learned to dance with his wife Mary Jo about 15 years ago in Green Bay, Wis. He has been a member of a dance club in Appleton, Wis., and a board member of several organizations. Tom worked for the Forest Service in the state of Wisconsin before retirement. He and Mary Jo have wintered at Robson Ranch for seven years. Tom is also involved in golf and softball. His passion, besides the Packers, is downhill skiing.
Also returning to the board is Christa Quackenbush as secretary, Rudy Lucero as vice president, and Mary Jo Albrecht as member-at-large. The dance club has March and April dances scheduled, and then they will start planning for next season. The membership year runs from January to December.
