Needle Crafters holiday notice

Diana Oleson

Ah, at last the Christmas season is upon us.

There is no greater gift to give than one’s time and talents to help those who are in need. In return, you receive the joy of knowing you brought joy into someone’s life and made it a little brighter. Which brings me to the Needle Crafter’s, who work on projects all year long for various charities (three of which are in Eloy). The donated yarn that we get are used to make various items for our charities, even the small balls of yarn are used to create something of use. We are still accepting any yarn donations, they can be dropped off at the Creative Arts Center on Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Helpful hint for December: “After finishing a crochet or knitting project with worsted-weight yarn, take a few minutes to make a granny square block with your extra yarn. Save blocks for making afghan’s and other gifts or donate them.”

The Needle Crafter’s would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Las Pasadas, and Happy Kwanzaa!

Come and join us at the Creative Arts Center on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon; who knows you may even make some new friends.
