The Robson Ranch Arizona Ladies Social Club’s luncheon was held on April 7 in the Hermosa Ballroom at the Ranch. The Ladies Social Club was pleased to introduce several guest speakers focused on wellness topics including nutrition and exercise. The club is grateful to be part of a community that values and supports the health and well-being of its residents.

Residents of Robson Ranch are diving into fitness with Noodle Nation, a free water aerobics class offered by Deb Cuvelier every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. Held in the Ranch’s outdoor pool, these energetic and welcoming sessions are open to all Robson Ranch residents. Combining fun, fitness, and a strong sense of community, Deb’s classes have quickly become a favorite among those looking to stay active in a low-impact, high enjoyment environment. Deb’s presentation was truly inspiring.

Joanne Parkin, a registered Dietitian Nutritionist, delivered a well-planned and thoughtfully organized talk on health and nutrition for seniors. She provided valuable insights into menu planning, protein requirements, loss of muscle mass in older adults and practical examples of meals that contain 30 grams of protein. Her presentation was truly informative and engaging and educational offering seniors helpful guidance to support healthy aging through better nutrition.

Judi Lewinski gave an engaging talk about the exercise classes she leads at the new fitness Center at Robson Ranch. She emphasized the importance of staying active and shared details about the variety of classes available for residents of all fitness levels. Judi teaches a classic Chair Class specifically designed for men and women who may not have exercised for a while or who have limited mobility. These low-impact seated workouts help improve strength, flexibility, and overall mobility. Chair classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

For those seeking a more energetic workout, Judy also teaches a Step Aerobics class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7 a.m. These high-energy sessions are open to all Robson Ranch residents.

To give the audience a better understanding of what to expect, Judi brought several women from her classes to demonstrate step aerobics, and she personally demonstrated exercises from the chair class. Her presentation inspired attendees to explore the fitness opportunities available right in their own community.
