You might think that stained glass means only decorative windows mostly seen in churches. Although it is traditionally made in flat panels and used as windows, the creations of modern stained glass artists also include three-dimensional structures and sculpture.
We invite you to join us to make almost anything your heart desires. From a stained glass panel for a window in your home; to outdoor pieces such as cactus, succulents, and flowers; to Christmas ornaments, tissue holders, and nightlights, only your imagination constrains you.
Stained glass creations include selecting or making a pattern, cutting the glass, foiling the pieces, and soldering them together. We offer a beginner class that will teach you all the basics.
A number of members have been doing this for a while, so there is always help available if you have questions.
Drop by our club in the Creative Arts Center to see what we are up to. Our hours are Sunday: 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday: 1 to 4 p.m. Note that the studio is closed if there is no monitor available.
If you are interested in joining our fun club, please contact Sandra Martin at [email protected] to reserve your space in an upcoming beginner class.
