The Roving Ranchers held their annual Halloween Golf Cart Parade on Oct. 31. Carts began lining up at the softball field at 3:30 p.m. There were about 50 carts and 100 people. The parade kicked off at 4:30 p.m.
The decorations on the carts and the costumes displayed the vast array of talent Robson residents have. Some of the carts were so well decorated that they resembled parade floats more than golf carts.
The parade drove down Robson Boulevard, to Harris Hawk, and onto Commanche, which had several different rolling stops at people’s homes for treats. The parade continued down Pioneer to Grand Canyon, where several carts went the wrong way and got separated from the group. Luckily they were able to rejoin the group by the time we got to Winslow Way.
Many residents and visitors lined the streets, and many gave away treats for the participants, which were thoroughly enjoyed. The enthusiasm of the bystanders was overwhelming.
The parade concluded at the softball field. Everyone had a great time and is looking forward to the Christmas Golf Cart parade on Saturday, Dec. 14.
