Fused Glass Club Member of the Month: Faythe Daniel

Faythe Daniel

Fused glass art by Faythe Daniel

The Fused Glass Club is pleased to announce our member of the month, Faythe Daniel. When the club was launched in early 2019, we had a handful of members. Today, our club is thriving and has many talented and enthusiastic members. Much of our success and growth is due to the efforts of founding member Faythe Daniel. At that time, our club had two kilns; today, we have six kilns! She helped write our bylaws, guided our growth from a dozen members to more than 160 today. Faythe served as our vice president in the first few years and still is one of our most proficient and valuable monitors, as well as a member of the kiln firing team.

Before retiring, Faythe worked as an IT consultant, implementing finance software for government agencies. In this capacity, she worked with the state of Alaska, as well as various city and county governments, including Maricopa and Mesa. In addition to glass fusing, her interests include photography, reading, light gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She has been happily married for 49 years to her high school sweetheart. She has lived in California, Utah, and most recently for 35 years in Montana, before landing here in the Robson community.

Please check out some of her favorite fused glass pieces. We are pleased to have Faythe as a member of our club and look forward to many years of her expertise and advice. If you would like to join Faythe in this fun and creative craft, please email Doris Betuel at [email protected] for further information or to sign up for a beginner’s class.
