Pastor Chet Kwiat
Hebrews 12:11
We often think of discipline in terms of punishment. Instead, we should try to look at it from the point of view of an athlete. The athlete trains their body to get stronger and perfect their technique to become more successful. Certainly, the hard work and sacrifice is not always pleasant. It often brings on sore muscles and physical pain while pushing the body to work harder. The reward is the athlete becomes stronger and more skilled, which brings greater potential for success in their endeavor.
When God allows us to go through some difficult trials, we can look at them as training to make our spirit stronger. Don’t always look at your trials as punishment; instead, try to see it as God training you to become a better person and strengthen your spirit.
