Ann Bixby-Smith moved to the Ranch about five years ago. Ann has done a lot of glass fusion and crafting in the past and wanted to try something new. Ann joined the Desert Woodcrafters at the end of September, and she had little to no experience working with the lathe. She took the basic lathe and handle-turning class and created a gorgeous ice cream scoop made from Padauk wood, which gives it a rich red coloring. I can’t wait to see what Ann does next.
