Many thanks to those of you who came out to meet our authors in the Chapter & Verse sessions! The authors who presented were thrilled with your enthusiasm, encouragement, and support. These events provide an opportunity for members of the Robson Ranch (RR) community to meet the authors (also residents of the Ranch), hear presentations from their works, and to ask questions.
Author Jaine Toth will be the presenter for the April installment of the Chapter & Verse series sponsored by the Robson Ranch Library and Write On…, the Robson Ranch writer’s workshop. Jaine wrote two monthly columns for the Coastal View News in Carpinteria, Calif., and wrote a weekly column for the Eloy Enterprise right here in Eloy, Ariz. In addition, she has had several essays, stories, and poems published and has been a long-standing contributor to bahaiteachings.org. She also writes scripts for the Readers Theater troupe, Regeneration.
Jaine’s first published book was Dizzy Izzy and the Red Witch: Memories of My Parents. Her new book entitled The Arts: A Key to Spiritual Transformation, is available now online at bahai-library.com; it can be downloaded for free. Based in part on Bahai Writings, it is a call to individuals and communities to understand the imperative of weaving the arts into the tapestry of our lives. Exercises are included to stimulate the creativity within each reader. Jaine has also conducted a variety of arts-related workshops and periodically will offer workshops of interest to authors and would-be authors here at Robson Ranch.
She plans to share her works in a variety of genres and hopes to impart the joy of writing when she speaks at the next Chapter & Verse event. Join us in the Fireside Room on Friday, April 24. Doors open at 10 a.m. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by an invitation for discussion. Comments and questions are welcome. We’ll wrap up around noon.
Before taking a break for the summer, the final Chapter & Verse session will be held on Friday, May 29; with author Martha Spillane presenting. The series will resume on Friday, Sept. 26, with a presentation by author Mary Beth Fisher and conclude for 2026 with Larry Ginn. In addition, Write On… meets every Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room for support and encouragement from fellow authors and would-be authors. Come and join us!
