Grace and peace to you, friends of Robson Ranch!
Hi There,
As I write this first letter to you, I am filled with gratitude. I am the new Pastor at Oasis United Methodist Church (UMC) here at Robson Ranch. My three children and I moved here in June from Northwest Iowa. Moving to a new state and into a new appointment (July) is always a season of transition, new faces, new streets, and new rhythms. I’m grateful we serve a God who goes before us and beside us.
I am excited to get to know you and your community. Not just your names, but your stories. What brought you here? What keeps you here? What are your hopes for our shared ministry? I believe God has brought us together for this season, and I am eager to discover what we have to learn from one another.
I would like to take this time to let all know that Spirit of Joy UMC, in Coolidge, has an Advent and Lent, inter-faith Cantata Choir. The choir practices at 6 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Spirit of Joy United Methodist Church, 392 W Roosevelt Ave. All are invited and encouraged to participate as our Choir Director would love to have sopranos, altos, tenors, and bass singers.
All are invited to attend worship on Sundays. It is at 10:45 a.m. and there is no need to feel guilty that it’s been too long or at all. If you are interested in starting or enhancing a spiritual practice, there is no better time but the present. All are welcome at Oasis United Methodist Church here at Robson Ranch.
It is such an exciting time of year and as we move into these final months of the year, we will be busy! With Thanksgiving around the corner and Christmas to follow, we have plans to make and parties to attend. Through it all, might we find time to slow down, take in the moment and celebrate the blessings around us!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
God Bless,
Pastor Terry
