There was so much to see in Tucson the Vagabonds centered their visit April 12 to 16 to the northwest portion. The weather was perfect and a very enjoyable time was had by all. There were nine couples, including three couples new to the Vagabond Club. We camped at Catalina State Park with its roomy spots, great walks and hikes. Sunday afternoon we attended a fun play at the American Playhouse. Highlights of the following days were Hacienda Del Sol; DeGrazia Studio; Sabino Canyon; Tohono Chul gardens and their terrific restaurant, Terrazza. DeGrazia Studio and Tohono Chul Gardens were especially informative as we had a docent to give us info on what we were seeing. We enjoyed social evenings at the Park that usually centered around food, drink and the opportunity to get to know each other! As is our tradition, the last morning the men cooked breakfast. Our meal included omelets in a bag, which was delicious and a new experience for many. To compliment the omelet was OJ, ham, bacon and rolls. This was our last outing for this season, and will begin again in November with a week in Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco), Mexico. Our final get together was a potluck at Ken and Joan Sidles, May 1. The Vagabonds welcomes all RVers to join our club and experience new sights and friendships.
