The Roving Ranchers hit the jackpot at the July 18 Golf Cart Poker Run! Five amazing host homes dealt a winning hand of delicious food, creative decorations, and plenty of laughter, making it a day to remember.
Our gracious hosts—Cathy and Barry Sullivan, Sondra and Ed Bowers, Jennifer and Jon Treadeau, Diane and Dan Kandel, and Jan and Russ Stocek—rolled out the red carpet and welcomed everyone with open arms.
The fun began at Jennifer and Jon’s home, where Jen’s homemade cake pops were an instant winner. Joe Murauskis and Gerard Wittman kept the game running smoothly, greeting each player as they selected their poker card and carefully recording every hand on the scorecards.
From there, the Ranchers headed to the Kandel home, where cool patio misters offered welcome relief from the summer heat. Guests enjoyed delicious ham-and-cheese sliders while admiring the inviting backyard pool and visiting with friends.
The third stop brought everyone to the Stocek’s where perfectly prepared shrimp and an assortment of tasty appetizers kept everyone smiling—and hoping for an ace!
At the Bowers’ home, guests were greeted with icy cold alcohol-infused slushies and grilled shrimp kabobs that were every bit as impressive as the poker hands being built.
The grand finale took place at the Sullivans’, where no one had room left with room for dessert—but somehow everyone found space! Build-your-own ice cream sundaes, bite-sized lemon tarts, and Bailey’s-infused brownies provided the perfect sweet ending to a fabulous afternoon.
Every stop showcased over-the-top poker-themed decorations, and many Ranchers got into the spirit by dressing in card- and suit-inspired outfits. Kings, queens, aces, poker chips, and plenty of smiles filled every house. The hosts truly played a winning hand with their hospitality, creativity, and attention to every detail.
After dessert, everyone gathered outside for the final results:
