The Ropin’ in Yer Relatives Genealogy Club at Robson Ranch wrapped up its season in style on March 10 with a lively end-of-year party hosted by the ever-gracious Karen and Bob Furu. And what a gathering it was!

Karen treated the group to not one, but two delicious homemade spaghetti sauces—a savory turkey sauce and a hearty meat sauce packed with sausage. Club members arrived bearing appetizers and desserts … and let’s just say the dessert table may have outnumbered the side dishes! No complaints there.

The evening kicked off outdoors, where members gathered with drinks and appetizers around the fire pit. With the beautiful Arizona weather, the fire itself wasn’t needed—but the circle of friends swapping stories and laughs made it plenty warm.

Before the feast began, Dan Wheeler called a brief meeting to order. With a quorum present, members enthusiastically voted in the new board for the coming year:

* Dan WheelerPresident

* Regina CrismanEducation Director (with Pat Sand serving as Co-Director and managing social media)

* Lynn DillingTreasurer

* Todd MyersLibrarian

* Karen FuruSecretary

Several members also volunteered their talents to support the team. Irene Dymerski and Pat Sand will assist Regina with technical setup before meetings, while former Librarian Sandra Rasmussen will help Todd learn the ropes in the library.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for—the dinner bell! Members lined up to fill their plates with spaghetti and their sauce of choice. Afterward, the dessert table called their names, offering a tempting lineup of sweet treats. By the end of the night, one thing was certain: no one left hungry!

With that delicious send-off, the club concluded its meetings for the season. The Ropin’ in Yer Relatives Genealogy Club will return with a kickoff party in October. Meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays each month from October through March.

Curious about discovering your family roots? The club hosts a free seminar in October, perfect for anyone interested in learning what genealogy—and the club—is all about.
