It’s May. The sun is hanging around longer, the heat is creeping up, and people everywhere are making the tragic mistake of trying to be productive after dinner. We, fortunately, know better.
That is why it is time once again for the Robson Ranch Cigar Meetup on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m.—an evening dedicated to the noble traditions of fine cigars, strong opinions, selective memory, and laughter that gets louder as the smoke gets thicker.
Let’s be honest. By the time May rolls around, most people are already a little worn down. The calendar is packed, the world is noisy, and somebody, somewhere, is probably sending a group text that could have been avoided entirely. This meetup is the cure for all of that. No fake urgency. No awkward small talk. No one asking about your five-year plan. Just cigars, conversation, and the kind of fellowship that makes life feel a little less ridiculous.
And let us not overlook one of the true highlights of the evening: the drawing for great prizes.
That’s right. Not sad prizes. Not forgotten junk from the back of a closet. Great prizes. The kind of prizes that make a grown man suddenly sit up straight when his name is called. The kind of prizes that can turn an ordinary evening into a personal triumph and give someone bragging rights they will absolutely abuse.
Even if you do not win, you still get a great cigar, sharp conversation, and the pleasure of watching someone else pretend to be humble while
clearly feeling like royalty.
The evening will feature all the essentials: good cigars, great stories, dry humor, and just enough commentary from AJ to remind everyone that no event is ever completely free of personality.
But the real point is simple. This is where you come to unwind. This is where you come to laugh. This is where you come to spend an evening with people who understand that a cigar is not just a smoke, it is a proper way to ignore the rest of the world for a while.
Here is a poem for the occasion:
May Smoke
The lighters spark, the smoke takes flight,
Good cigars improve the night.
We talk, we laugh, we criticize,
Then cheer like kings for raffle prizes.
Important: You must be present to smoke.
The location remains secret and is shared only with those on the C-List. To get on the list, visit cigarmeetup.us and sign up. We will do the rest.
And this fine evening is proudly sponsored by Mike and David, the Cigar Kings—two men who did not merely embrace the cigar lifestyle but appear to have been appointed by destiny to rule over it. Legends in smoke. Sultans of cigars. Barons of the burn. If cigars had royalty, these two would be on the throne, probably holding court with a lighter in one hand and a prize ticket in the other.
Come for the cigars. Stay for the fellowship. Admire the
generosity of the kings.
