The Robson Ranch Fused Glass Club has had the fortunate pleasure to get to know Tamara Weaver, who has been an active member since 2020.
Known for her bright smile, easy laughter, and upbeat spirit, Tamara is more than just a talented artist, she is a devoted wife—caring for her husband, Dean, through multiple ankle surgeries—a loving mother, cherished friend, and a very proud grandmother. She and Dean have now decided to return to chilly Minnesota to be closer to their granddaughter and a soon-to-be-arriving second grandchild.
Originally from Iowa, she balanced her military service in the Air National Guard while successfully receiving a degree in nursing. At 23, she met and married her hometown boyfriend, Dean (Dream Weaver as he is affectionately known). She and Dean soon moved to Seattle and welcomed a son, Landon. A daughter, Coltyn, was born after they relocated to Minnesota a few years later. After an exceptional 42–year nursing career, she retired from the University of Minnesota Medical Center. An exhaustive search of retirement communities resulted in Tamara and Dean relocating to Robson Ranch in 2021. Here, Tamara embraced a wide range of interests, including water aerobics, corn hole, cribbage, concerts, and card games—but it was fused glass that captured her heart. Her skills quickly grew from novice to expert, and she gave back to our community and to the Fused Glass Club by serving as a club monitor, teaching fused glass flower making, heading up the club’s annual craft fairs, participating on committees, and writing articles on the club for the Robson Ranch Views. In the last two years, she also served as an important part of the Fused Glass Club’s leadership team. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and impeccable taste have made her an invaluable part of this community.
Tamara is a woman of exceptional talent and dedication, highly respected by all who have had the pleasure of working with her. As one of our favorite glass monitors, her creativity and expertise has left a lasting impression on our entire community.
We thank Tamara for the joy and inspiration she brought to our community. She will be deeply missed at the Fused Glass Club. We wish her all the best in this next chapter of life. It is easy to see why Tamara is held in such high regard; she truly is an amazing woman.
