Ropin’ in Yer Relatives Genealogy Club is returning in November. Our first meeting of the year is Nov. 5, with Rebecca Bley Shamblin presenting “Getting Started.” For those of you wondering how to begin research on your family tree, this is a session you should attend. Our second meeting is Nov. 19, with Robert Wilbanks returning as a speaker. Robert is going to talk about “Getting Organized.” So, both of these sessions are aimed at beginning genealogists or those overwhelmed by all the data they’ve uncovered.
The Ropin’ In Yer Relatives Genealogy Club meets the first and second Tuesday of every month from November through March. Our speakers’ topics range from beginners to advanced genealogist.
To join, just attend a meeting on the first or second Tuesday of the month in the Laredo Room of the Ranch House. Meetings are at 6 p.m. and typically last an hour. Annual dues are $25/person or $30/couple. You can call Dan Wheeler, president, at 518-573-8953 or email him at [email protected].
