Congratulations to Sharon Kasper, who won the 2021 raffle quilt. This is such a unique quilt, so we hope Sharon will enjoy it for years to come. The 2022 quilt will be raffled in December of this year. More details will follow in the coming months about how you can purchase your tickets.
Thanks to all who attended the craft fair in December and supported our club. The Material Girls are really grateful as this happened to be one of the best years in inventory sales. Your support means we can, in turn, support our charities and residents in need. Also in the past year, we had many new members join us. If you’re just joining us, watch the calendar for upcoming events, classes, and fun projects. Tell a friend who also loves to sew that membership is a deal at only $20 a year. These dues will be collected in January (this month).
If you have an embroidery machine, the Material Girls has a group of ladies who meet every Tuesday at the Creative Arts Center (CAC) at 9 a.m. Contact Marie Stuersel at 775-343-6775 for more details. We welcome new enthusiasts who want to eliminate the fear of using these machines.
