In today’s environment, many of us are experiencing stress, sleep deprivation, and sometimes a roller coaster of emotions.
How often are you aware of having stress in your life?
Do you toss and turn all night, affecting the quantity and quality of your sleep?
Do you react appropriately to situations, do you easily fly off the handle, or do you find yourself breaking down in tears easily?
I am hearing from many of you that being confined to your own space, not being able to socialize as you usually do, and often being alone, has led to some stress and some worry about how you are going to get through issues brought on by the current health crisis.
I am right there with you! I would like to share some helpful hints on how essential oils are helping me to stay calm, aiding me to establish good sleep practices, and keeping my emotions balanced.
One of the most powerful ways to affect our emotions and moods is by diffusing essential oils. When you inhale the aromas, a message is sent to your limbic system, and the oils get into your bloodstream immediately. Diffusing oils such as bergamot, which calms agitation and stress, and frankincense, which is great for soothing and settling the mind, can help calm you.
The importance of sleep cannot be overemphasized. We should be getting seven hours of sleep nightly. Sleep helps to reduce stress in your body. We should try to stick to a schedule, getting to bed about the same time each night. Prior to going to bed, we should reduce our screen time. Diffusing essential oils, such as lavender, will calm the nervous system and help you achieve a refreshing sleep.
When things happening in the world make us feel uneasy, we can turn to Balance essential oil blend, which will help take the edge off. It makes you feel like you are wrapped in a hug. If you are feeling stressed and have no passion, you could try Elevation essential oil blend, which brings sunshine and cheer.
If you are interested in learning more about essential oils and their amazing effects, I would like to invite you to an online Intro to Oils class, scheduled each Tuesday (Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27) at 5:30 p.m. PT. For those of you who cannot attend this scheduled class, I would be happy to schedule a class to suit your convenience or have a one-on-one class. Also, a new online make and take class is scheduled for Oct. 28.
