Seventh Annual Air Show for Charity March 14

Unique aircraft flown last year.

Nancy Friedman

This event is for the benefit of the Casa Grande Food Bank. They will have a representative at the airfield accepting donations from those willing to help. Come to the airfield at 2725 S Isom Road in Casa Grande, from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Enjoy the morning, browse the swap meet, and help this wonderful charity. Coffee and pastries will be provided by the Pets in Need Action League for donations. Lunch may be purchased from another food vendor. This is a free event. The RC vendor, Superstition Hobbies, will also be on hand displaying new radio control cars and aircraft. A representative from Multiplex will be one of the guest pilots flying some unusual aircraft for your enjoyment.

If you are new to the hobby, there will be free flying lessons and free first-person-view airplane rides taking place. An airplane combat flight and a glider contest will be presented around 10 a.m., plus a RC Car race demonstration on the club’s newly remodeled track. A transmitter programming seminar will be provided at 11 a.m. We hope to see you there or at the club’s many other winter charity events. Academy of Model Aeronautics members are welcome to fly at the field, race on our new car track, or set up items to sell at our swap meet for a small guest fee, if not a member of the Casa Grande RC Flyers. Your AMA card is required to use the car track or airfield. Field directions and a list of the club’s events are on the club website, www.CasaGrandeRCFlyers.com.
