Stretching: It’s better with a buddy! The workshop is planned for Friday, September 28.

We all know that stretching improves flexibility, which allows you to get a better range of motion during your everyday activities as well as help to relieve muscle tension and stiffness. Why should I try assisted stretching? One of the biggest benefits of regular stretching is to lengthen the muscles, thereby reducing the stress and pressure on the tendons and joints. Other benefits of stretching include: increased circulation, increased energy and increased range of motion. In this workshop we will teach you how to stretch and strengthen at the same time so you and your partner can benefit from assisted stretching. Join us for this free, fun, hands on workshop. Healthy Hips and Back This free workshop is planned for Monday, September 24.

Increase the health, relaxation and power of your hips and low back! Experience simple and effective exercises for the low back and hips and learn what exercises not to do! In addition, we will discuss lower back pain stretches and the effects that massage therapy and myofascial release therapy can have on easing your pain. The workshop will be led by Lois Moncel, Fitness and Wellness Director, and Ronda Robertson, Licensed Massage Therapist.
