News from SOT-AZ

With the passing of Veterans Day and Thanksgiving and the coming holiday celebrations, on behalf of SOT-AZ Board of Directors and all our volunteers, to say thank you to all the veterans, soldiers and their families for our freedom. Without their courage, leadership, patriotism, sacrifice and love for America, we would not be able to have the freedoms we have in our country. We are grateful.

Our fundraiser “week” was a success again. The Robson Ranch Yard Sale brought us $1,084 and a lot of sore feet, knees and backs from the various volunteers that helped out. We had 104 baskets in the Raffle Room and 25 items in the fifth annual Live Auction on November 9, 2018. Our success was because of the great support of residents of Robson Ranch and the people and businesses in Casa Grande and Eloy. Thank you! The financial results of the other fundraising events will be published in the January Robson Ranch Views.

The amounts we raise are used to meet the emergency basic care such as rent and utilities, burial assistance of veterans in Pinal County, to provide Christmas for needy soldiers or veteran families in Pinal County, to provide needed items at the local veterans’ centers, donated furniture, scholarships for dependents of veterans and give out 100 new pairs of shoes each year to veterans. If you are interested in a lifetime membership in SOT-AZ for $25 per person or want to get more involved in this worthy group, please contact BJ Foster at 661-803-1967 or [email protected] for more information.
