Remember when you were working outside the home, or at home raising children, or both, and you would say with a sigh, “Someday I’m going to learn how to knit or crochet or needlepoint?” Or maybe you left an unfinished project in the closet because you ran out of time or energy? Well, now is the time.

Take a look at Judy Ault. Judy hadn’t picked up knitting needles for over 20 years, but with a little encouragement she came to the Nedlecrafters group at the Creative Arts Center and six weeks later look at her go!

Judy has had both knees replaced October 13, and part of her surgery preparation was knitting, which keeps her mind and hands busy along with giving her a sense of joy. Judy knits at the pool, in the car, in waiting rooms and on the couch watching sports with her husband Joe. We can’t wait to see what she creates during the remainder of her recovery!

Come join Judy and other joyful knitters on Thursday mornings from 9:00-noon in Studio 2 of the CAC. Just come and go when it works for you. We all have personal projects we work on along with a group charity project, which is making lap blankets and shawls for a local nursing home for Christmas. Come join the fun of needlecrafting and learn or re-learn a new skill. All levels are welcome.
