The mission of Honor Flight Arizona is to pay homage to World War II, Cold War, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans by providing for them a three-day journey of honor and remembrance to their memorials in Washington, D.C. The Arizona chapter of Honor Flight was formed in 2008 and to date has taken more than 2,500 veterans to our nation’s capital, all at no cost to the veterans. Support Our Troops-Arizona (SOT-AZ) was honored to present a grant check to Honor Flight Arizona in the amount of $2,600 on March 29, Vietnam War Veterans Day. The grant amount provided will cover the Honor Flight trip costs for two military veterans this year.

Support Our Troops-Arizona provides support to our active-duty service members, veterans, military families, veteran organizations, and military-related community programs. Only with the generous support and participation of the Robson Ranch community and local business sponsors has SOT-AZ been able to accomplish that mission.

This fall, the SOT-AZ Veterans Day Golf Tournament will be held on Veterans Day morning, Nov. 11, with the annual live auction fundraising event that evening. Volunteer opportunities are always available for all Robson Ranch patriots to join SOT-AZ’s ongoing march to help veteran organizations like Honor Flight-Arizona continue their important work to honor those who wore the uniform to protect our freedoms. Visit SOT-AZ.org for information about upcoming SOT-AZ events, membership, and volunteer opportunities.
