“It’s That Time of Year” is the title of the Robson Ranch Singers holiday concerts that will be presented at 7:00 on December 6 and 7 in the Hermosa Ballroom. The 57 members of this four-part choral group, who come from all walks of life but share a common love of singing together, have been under the musical leadership of Jacquie Fedie since 2013. Rehearsals for the singers began on October 31, and on November 9 the chorus sang for the K-8 students at Arizona City Elementary School during their annual program honoring local veterans. Later in December the chorus will also be presenting a Christmas concert for the residents at The Garnet, a senior living community in Casa Grande. The members also enjoy singing The Star Spangled Banner and Oh Canada at Robson Ranch tournaments sponsored by the various sporting clubs.
If you stroll by the ballroom on a Monday while the chorus is rehearsing, you might hear your holiday favorites including traditional Christmas carols, newly composed holiday music, familiar songs with a new twist, and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. In addition to the music sung by the full chorus, several members of the group are preparing solos and small ensembles for the enjoyment of the audience.
