When you were young, did your family drive around looking at all the holiday lights displayed in your neighborhood? As an adult, did you take your children for a drive every December to see light displays, either in your community or to a special drive-through holiday light show?
While we are still in monsoon season here at the Ranch and the days promise sun, heat, and the occasional haboob, the Robson Ranch Singers are gearing up for our holiday show to be held Dec. 8 and 9 in the Hermosa Ballroom. This year’s theme is Holiday Lights: Let it Shine.
After overhearing a discussion regarding the December holidays, Robson Ranch Singers’ Director Laurie Laramie realized that lights were a common denominator in all those holiday traditions. She and Associate Director Beth Forbes decided to make this the focal point of the Holiday Show. The music and performance will focus on various light-centric holiday traditions and the joyous memories they bring to the holidays.
The Singers begin practicing for the Holiday Show on Monday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Hermosa Ballroom. If you are interested in learning more about the Robson Ranch Singers, please contact our Director, Laurie Laramie, at laramiefamily@comcast.net.
