Many thanks to those of you who came out to meet our authors in the Chapter & Verse sessions in January and February. The authors who presented were thrilled with your enthusiasm, encouragement, and support. These events provide an opportunity for members of the Robson Ranch community to meet the authors (also residents of the Ranch), hear presentations from their works, and to ask questions.
Author Susanne Perry will be the presenter for the March installment of the Chapter & Verse series sponsored by the Robson Ranch Library and Write On…, the Robson Ranch writer’s workshop. Join us in the Fireside Room on Friday, March 27. Doors open at 10 a.m. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by an invitation for discussion. Comments and questions are welcome. We’ll wrap up around noon.
Susanne is an author of novels and short stories. Her “City Streets” trilogy of gritty murder mysteries—Runaway, Veteran, and Gutter Punk—takes place within street communities in the Pacific Northwest. Swan Song, her fourth novel, is a medical thriller regarding difficult choices and is set in Arizona. A prequel to the trilogy, titled Leah’s Journal, was released in March 2025. Three of her stories were selected by Riversong Books to be included in their Best Short Stories volumes in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
An alumna of Washington State University, Susanne studied Sociology and Psychology and holds a degree in Social Sciences. Prior to writing novels, she worked in early learning and for non-profit support programs with positions spanning from classroom to management. Her career also included assisting persons living with mental illness, fighting addiction, or experiencing housing insecurity.
A voracious reader, her favorite authors include Ken Follett, P.D. James, John Grisham, Sue Grafton, and her idol, the incredible social commentator, Charles Dickens. Susanne is a classic rock music fanatic and an avid golfer.
For those of you who like to plan ahead, additional Chapter & Verse sessions will be held on April 24 and May 29, as well as in the fall. In addition, the Write On… writers group meets every Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room for support and encouragement from their fellow authors and would-be authors. Come join us!
