The clock didn’t just strike midnight on New Year’s Eve—it spun back in time!
Residents packed the Hermosa Ballroom on Dec. 31 for a ’70s and ’80s themed New Year’s Dance, an event that blended disco flair, retro rock, and a whole lot of nostalgia to welcome the new year in unforgettable style.
From the moment guests walked in, it was clear the night would be something special. Sequins, go-go boots, tie dye, high school jackets, and neon accessories filled the room, while a glittering disco ball cast reflections across the dance floor. Sierra Sound provided the entertainment and performed classic hits from artists like ABBA, Queen, Cyndi Lauper, Donna Summer, and Styx to keep the crowd moving all night long!
It felt like stepping into a time machine. Everyone knew the songs, everyone was dancing and having fun, filling the room with positive energy.
A fabulous buffet dinner preceded the musical entertainment. Between dance sets, guests enjoyed a photo booth complete with retro props. There was even a costume contest! The magical night concluded with a champagne toast and a verse of everyone singing “Auld Lang Syne.”
