The Robson Virtues Connections group joined several other Robson residents to provide a joyful Halloween celebration at Toltec Elementary School on Oct.30 for its Trunk or Treat event. Donna Vande Kieft and Jane Minish, who currently volunteer weekly at Toltec, organized the Robson contingent of five decorated cars that joined seventeen cars of Toltec teachers. Car trunks were filled with treats to give out to more than 400 children and families.
Among the Robson folks who gave generously of their time, money and creativity were Jaine Toth, Pastors Ash and Mary Dotson, Kent and Linda Jensen, Sue Golden, Linda Johnson, Doreen Beers, Nancy Bounds, Chris Vorwerk, Pete and Nonni Van Dalen, Deborah Dorman, Susan Norris, Pete Smith and Betsy Lydle Smith, and Gail and Nick DePadre. Many thanks to all who participated in this fun community event. School supplies were also given to the thankful classroom teachers.
Thanks to all the unnamed people who contributed candy and school supplies for their generosity. We have enough candy left to fill Christmas stockings for the Curiel School in Eloy, where Lee Noble and Cathy Stevenson, RR residents, tutor reading with 2nd and 3rd graders.
If you would like more information about volunteering in the schools, please contact Donna at [email protected]. Thanks to all who support our Toltec and Eloy School Districts. They are so appreciative.
