Robson Ranch Hosting 100+ People Who Care Event March 28

Karen Dielmann

Join 100+ People Who Care on March 28 in the Cheyenne and Laredo Rooms in Robson Ranch House from 3:30 to 5 p.m. where they will be meeting with two nominated local nonprofits: Healing Saddles and Blue Star Mothers of Maricopa. A cash bar will be available at the event.

Healing Saddles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making an impact on the lives of those with physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities. They provide equine therapy to motivate individuals and focus on using the connection of animals, therapists, and volunteers to benefit the lives of children, youth, and first responders. They are located in Florence.

Blue Star Mothers AZ7 of Maricopa is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports active-duty military, veterans, and their families through various initiatives. Examples include sending “packages from home” to deployed troops, participating in local events (such as parades, flag raisings, and memorials), and veteran potluck bingo nights. The group also works closely with veterans’ groups and the VA Hospital in Tucson. One of their key programs is Blue to Gold, which honors fallen service members by providing Gold Star Banners to parents and spouses.

How It Works

The steering committee of the 100+ organization here at Robson Ranch solicits nominations for nonprofit organizations to be considered for the upcoming fundraising event and then randomly draws two of the nominated charities for each semi-annual gathering and vets them. At the one-hour meeting on March 28, both charities will present for 10 minutes with a 5minute Q and A session. Then those attending the event can decide who they want to donate to.

Sponsorship and Membership

Donors are individuals or teams of two. They write a $100 check each meeting directly to their chosen charity. Sponsors are organizations or individuals that give at a gold level of $1,000+, a silver level of $500+, or a bronze level of $250+.

100+ People Who Care is for you if:

* Your time is limited, but you love to give.

* You want to learn about the amazing work being done by our wonderful nonprofits.

* You want to be part of a caring and amazing group of men and women.

* You want 100% of your donation to go directly to a local charity.

* You are willing to commit to one hour twice a year.

The goal is this simple: get 100 people to give $100 to the worthiest nonprofits around us. The math: 100+ People x $100 = $10,000+ for local charities in 1 hour.

When done two times per year (semi-annually) it becomes $20,000+ donated per year. If $100 is too much for you, bring someone and form a team of two to make $100. We help nonprofits assisting those most in need in our Pinal County communities.
