Plus, Social Activities for Solos (SAS) is a new connection at Robson Ranch (RR).
RR Compassionate Friends. Small as it seems, loss is a big, complicated word that can encompass a variety of difficult situations: loss of a spouse, a partner, a parent, a sibling, a child, or a friend. Maybe you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a relationship, an estrangement, or a divorce. Maybe you deal with the pain of a loved one experiencing severe health concerns, whether physical or mental. Maybe you are the caregiver for someone you love.
Our meetings provide a place to gather support and offer help to others going through the same or similar circumstances. Everyone moves through their journey to handle loss at their own pace and there’s no room or need for comparison. Loss is loss.
Through May, the group will meet under its new name, Compassionate Friends, on the second and fourth Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room. Due to the remodel of the Sports Center, room availability is limited, and reservations are planned on a bi-monthly basis. Contact Susanne Perry at 360–521–7862 or by email at [email protected] if you plan to attend or would like more information.
Announcing a new group: Social Activities for Solos (SAS). RR will soon offer another avenue of support for residents who may have experienced a loss or wish to participate in activities as a “solo” with friends. Planning began in March as ideas for activities were tossed around including lunch/dinner, sports events, pubs/breweries, bowling, golf, etc. For planning purposes, SAS will meet through the month of May, on the second and fourth Tuesday, at 6 p.m. in the Fireside Room.
SAS welcomes members of the community who are alone by choice or fate or may have a partner who is unable to join in planned activities and would like a comfortable option. Whatever the need or desire to find a supportive place, consider joining us. For information about SAS, contact June Armstrong at 307–254–1295 or by email at [email protected].
